Hey All,

I've seen this been done, but in scattered format throughout the forums. And, not really highlighting the favorites per say?.. Unless I missed something. I am feeling a bit odd lately (sinus infection).

Which browser on the internet is your choice of browser.. Then name 5 likes and 5 dis-likes to it, if you can think of that many. I personally use Opera so I will start it off.

Opera
Likes:
-Speed of Browsing - Seems to be quicker than other browsers.. Whether this is my system in general or whatever else I have installed I don't know. Seems speedy!
-Customization - Yes, some browsers have more but I like the way personally this one customizes.
-Magic Wand - (Woohoo I'm a Wizard).. Gotta love the save password for "entire server" function. I find this very useful.
-"Integrated Email" - Need I say more? Awesome..
-Download Manager - Very nice. Especially with the "Quick Download" function. Comes in very good use when I need to download several files at the same time on a link per link basis.
-Tabbed Browsing - Had to add a sixth!

Dislikes
-Skinning - Doesn't stretch as vast as what FireFox does
-Download "File Associations" - Seems like if I set a "particular" file to download to a "particular" directory it causes conflict in the browser and doesn't work anyways!
-Identify - This function is still not working to my liking. Says it can Identify as Opera, Internet Explorer and Mozilla. Yet, if I go to a site that's Strictly IE 6, Sometimes it doesn't load because I'm not using IE. Isn't that the purpose of this "Identify"..
-Extensions and Add-ins - Whereas the ones I have are useful the overall list is not as vast as FireFox
-RSS Functionality - Just don't like the way it handles RSS Feeds. Maybe just my opinion.. But it needs work.

Well that should be a ground level start. Hopefully, in this thread I'll get a good bit of replys. Don't be afraid to also list Email Clients. No point in making a new thread for those!

Opera would be great, 'cept I can't seem to get it to keep me logged in past the logging in page. I mean I hit WWW.WC.COM site and type in my username and password, hit enter, and it just clears the two tabs I entered. Even using the magic wand thingy. Anyway, to rate as you have it formatted:
-Speed: no difference.
-Customization: more than Maxthon and Avant, doesn't beat Firefox.
-Magic Wand: sure would be great if it cooperated with XP hardening and security software.
_Integrated Email: they all have it in one form or another.
-Download Manager: By the time I get it set up, I forget what I was downloading.

-Skinning: I agree with you, Chris.
-File extensions: like I said, the download manager takes too long to set up to work. I really don't see the need for a "download Manager" anyway, I wanna right-click save target and be done.
-Add-ons and Plugins: As I see it the more of these you have the more browser crashes you have. But that's just me.
-RSS: I am not sure about this function as I don't use it.

AOL Explorer (Browser)

Likes:
- Soft colors used & very simple and organized
- tab browsing, best i've seen, with thumbnails when mouse-over on tabs
- sidepane allows to automatically check for AOL mail and list what is in inbox
- mosaic - cool function that will show previews of all open sites/tabs on one page, with thumbnail preview of history of whatever page is mouse-over in that view
- RSS reader in sidepane

dislikes:
- most new features are in Beta, not GM release
- beta releases keep switching between how the thumbnails appear for tabs - sometimes fading nicely, some builds go back to quick-show
- AOL antispyware sometimes installed automatically; varies with builds
- topspeed sometimes not included with builds
- no download manager for download history
